Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Blackfinch, Carey Olsen, Chikara Investments

The latest senior appointments, moves and personnel changes in wealth management for the UK, mainland Europe, select jurisdictions in the region, and the Middle East.
Blackfinch
UK-based Blackfinch Group
has appointed Harry Penberthy as group head of marketing and
named Graham Robinson as strategic distribution director.
Penberthy has more than 20 years’ experience as a senior
marketing and brand leader across investment and financial
services. His career includes senior roles at Octopus and Triple
Point.
Robinson’s role is a new group-wide position. He brings 30 years’
experience across life assurance, pensions, platforms, asset
management and tax-efficient investing. His career includes
senior roles at Octopus and Seven Investment Management.
Blackfinch, based in Cheltenham, has more than 150 staff.
Carey Olsen
Carey Olsen, the
offshore law firm, has promoted five lawyers to the partnership,
with effect from 1 July.
The new partners are Shane Westin (corporate, Cayman Islands),
Elliot Aron (dispute resolution and litigation, Guernsey), Joanna
Caen (trusts and private wealth, Guernsey), Lizzie Chamberlain
(banking and finance, Jersey) and Amelia Tan (dispute resolution
and litigation, Singapore).
The promotions take the total number of partners across the Carey
Olsen group to 94.
Chikara Investments
London-headquartered Chikara
Investments has appointed Peter Harrison, former group chief
executive of Schroders, as strategic advisor to the business.
Harrison will work with the leadership team, bringing his
industry experience to support Chikara’s continued
growth, the firm said in a statement.
For more than 35 years, Harrison worked in asset management, latterly serving as group chief executive of Schroders plc between March 2016 and November 2024. He has worked both as a portfolio manager and leader, served as chair of the Investment Association and sat on the FCA markets practitioner panel. He is a member of the board of directors of Marsh McLennan Inc and Lazard, and is chair of Morgan Sindall.
“Having Peter’s counsel as a strategic advisor is a significant endorsement of what we are building at Chikara,” James Tollemache, CEO of Chikara, said. “His input across culture, high governance standards, sensible growth and strategic advice are invaluable as we progress.”
