Ardian Makes Raft Of Executive Appointments

The moves include changes at the top of Ardian’s French business. The global group is headquartered in Paris.

Ardian, a global private investment firm, has made several senior appointments in its group executive management and executive board of Ardian France.

Ardian has appointed François Jerphagnon and Marion Calcine as executive vice-presidents of Ardian (Holding), effective 30 September. Jerphagnon will also succeed Mathias Burghardt as CEO of Ardian France.

Both people will join Ardian's executive committee. Calcine, currently chief investment officer for infrastructure, will take over from Jerphagnon as executive president of Ardian France, the regulated French entity, as he moves into the CEO role. The two executive vice-president appointments require confirmation at Ardian's next general meeting in May 2027.

Jerphagnon has spent 25 years at Ardian, where he built and ran the firm's Expansion business, its mid-market investment strategy. Calcine has worked in Ardian's infrastructure division since 2007. That business now employs 76 people across Europe and the US and manages $45 billion in assets.

Marie-Victoire Rozé, deputy co-head of secondaries and primaries and a senior managing director at Ardian, is also joining the Ardian France executive board. Stéphanie Bensimon, head of real estate, and Thibault Basquin, co-head and chief investment officer of buyout, both already members of the group executive committee, will remain on the France board.

Burghardt will give up his group-level executive responsibilities to concentrate on Ardian's infrastructure platform, which he set up in 2006. He will remain as chair of the infrastructure management committee and will continue to support the deployment of the group's infrastructure fund.
